These extruders range from 2 inch (50mm) 24:1 single screw models to GC-65 conical twin-screw designs and are engineered to process poly- ethylene, polypropylene, PVC, polycarbonate, and ABS; among others. Over the past 10 years, Poly Vinyl Co. has worked with Davis-Standard on fi ve major rebuilds to boost processing ca- pabilities. These include conical twin-screw extruder upgrades Cooperation as well as a recent rebuild of a 3.5-inch (90mm) Davis-Standard extruder, purchased via the used market, which was completed in less than 12weeks. In all cases, Poly Vinyl Co. has beenpleased with turn-around time and processing results, which have add- ed value to customer products. As we look to expand, we will continue to carry out the goodwork that our customers expect while enjoying the journey along the way.” „ Continental Structural Plastics (CSP), one of the world’s larg- est manufacturers of composite components, is expanding its facility in Sarepta, Louisiana in the US, with the purchase of an LFT-D line that includes a DIEFFENBACHER press with a pressing force of 2,500 tonnes (25,000 kN). CSP will use its new LFT-D line, scheduled to begin operating in the fi rst quarter of 2022, to produce tailgate covers for pickup trucks.
