CMG at Fakuma 2026 brings advanced technical solutions for film and edge-trim size reduction
![]() |
For film extrusion processors, recovering production scrap starts with a practical question: how can the granulator fit the material, the trim and the line? At Fakuma 2026, CMG Granulators will address this challenge with the S30-50-ET2, on display alongside the G26-60.
Film and edge trims in focus
The S30-50-ET2 is the solution for film and edge trims in extrusion. It belongs to CMG’s range of granulators featuring the ET2 configuration, developed to recover edge trims at the source of the extrusion process. Precision in cutting chamber assembly enables the treatment of thin trims, delivering uniform particle size and low dust content. Quick opening and easy cleaning support day-to-day machine management.
Not all regrind is the same. For processors assessing how to reuse production scrap, the characteristics of the recovered material matter alongside the practical requirements of operating and maintaining the equipment. CMG’s approach connects these features with the application, from the incoming scrap to the handling of the regrind.
Customisation starts with the application
The S30-50-ET2 will also provide the focus for discussions on special film applications. Material characteristics, trim geometry, feeding requirements and available space are key points to examine when defining a dedicated configuration. Regrind evacuation and the connection with the rest of the line form part of the same assessment. CMG also offers solutions for the granulation of scrap rolls and other industrial scrap.
At the CMG stand, visitors can discuss their operating requirements with the team and explore how a granulation solution can be configured around their production process. The aim is to align the machine specification with the application, taking into account the material to be handled and the requirements for line integration.
Also on display will be the G26-60, with a focus on injection moulding and blow moulding applications. Together, the two exhibits offer visitors the opportunity to discuss distinct processing needs with CMG’s technical team.
