On March 30, 2017 Leistritz Extrusionstechnik GmbH will open its gates again: Film producers will have the opportunity to take a closer look at the inline compounding line which has been set up in the technical center in Nuremberg/Germany. Together with its project partners AZO, maag and the Johannes Kepler University Linz, the host will present interesting lectures and a live demonstration.
With this lab line, films can be manufactured from various polymers, such as polyolefins, polyethylene terephthalate and polystyrene. If necessary, foamed films can also be produced. Film widths of up to 800 mm and thicknesses of 1.4 to 150 μm can be realized.
For years, German based Leistritz Extrusionstechnik GmbH has been giving customers and anyone interested the opportunity to put their products to the test. In their technical Center in Nuremberg, one will not only find several twin screw extruders of different sizes, but also an inline compounding line with fully automated material handling and a subsequent calender, which was only recently set up. With it, films can be manufactured and tested from polyolefins, polyethylene terephthalate and polystyrene. If necessary, foamed films can also be produced. The company invites experts to its Film Technology Day to Nuremberg where they can not only learn more details, but also see the line in action.
