At K show, MDI will announce that it now offers PFAS (per- and poly u - oroalkyl substances)-free black mas- terbatches as an alternative to the standard uoropolymer processing aid containing masterbatches. The new PFAS-free black masterbatches are targeted for the lm, wire and cable, and irrigation tape markets. The company has also launched a new black masterbatch grade called GM-540-7UVS. The new grade meets the industry’s GM13 standard for use in geomembranes. It is a 40% carbon black polyole n mas - terbatch containing a speci c ad - ditive package which protects the geomembrane from long-term heat and UV exposure. For the coloring of nylon, MDI is also offering its NY-40NG grade which is a 40%nigrosine dye master - batch. The masterbatch offers deep jet-black color with minimal impact on physical properties in nylon com- pounds. Key targeted applications include automotive and electronics. All of the newmasterbatch solutions are commercially available. Modern Dispersions will also showcase its extensive product port- folio including black masterbatches, wood-polymer composites (WPC), and color concentrates. The com- pany has decades of experience in producing a wide variety of black masterbatches, concentrates, and compounds that provide superior UV protection, FDA compliance, high-jetness, blue-tone, high load- ings, low-tint performance, and cus- tomizability. Color concentrate and color com- pound products are designed to meet market demands and end-use requirements. Capabilities include improvedbatch-to-batch consistency and lm grade organic and inorgan - ic pigment dispersions. The company has extensive color and formulation expertise to deliver consistent prod- ucts for automotive, construction, packaging, lm, molded parts, and engineered plastics. These materials are used to manufacture products such as agricultural lm, electrostatic dissipative housings used in elec- tronic packaging, cell phones, fab- rics, and household items.
