On January 20, 2025, Anton Paar GmbH opened a new building in Kuala Lumpur, which is home to the APAC Technical Center and the Malaysian sales office.

5,000 m² of training and office space
The building extends over 5,000 m² with four floors. Two floors are used by Anton Paar GmbH, the others are intended for growth and will be rented out for the time being. The central element is the modern Regional Technical Center with a 400 m² laboratory showroom. It comprises a main laboratory, specialized laboratories for polymers, plastics, food and animal feed as well as an XRD laboratory. Almost the entire Anton Paar product portfolio is presented here. There are also training rooms for at least 50 people. A 100-kW photovoltaic system supplies the building with energy.
Astrid Greiner, Regional Director APAC, emphasized: “With the investment in the new APAC Technical Center, we have set the next milestone for growth and technical expertise. We offer a central location to work efficiently with our sales subsidiaries on the challenges of our customers, to present our portfolio and to train our sales and service team throughout the region. This enables us to meet the requirements of the fast-moving APAC region with high-quality and fast support.”
Numerous guests of honor at the opening ceremony
Around 100 guests attended the opening ceremony, including the Deputy Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation Dato' Haji Mohammad Yusof bin Apdal, Austrian Ambassador Andreas Launer and Commercial Counsellor Reinhart Zimmermann. Representatives from the Malaysian Investment Development Authority (MIDA), Invest Selangor as well as delegates from the Shah Alam City Council and members of the Malaysian Association of Accredited Laboratories (MAAL) were also present. Customers, General Managers of the APAC sales subsidiaries and Friedrich Santner were also present. In their speeches, the guests of honor emphasized the importance of the new APAC Technical Center.
The grand finale was the ribbon-cutting ceremony, followed by the unveiling of the opening plaque. Another highlight was the lion dance performance, which symbolizes luck and success. After the ceremony, the guests were given a guided tour of the modern laboratories and the spacious showroom of the APAC Technical Center and the Anton Paar Malaysia subsidiary.
